Tumamao (Tu) is an Auckland-based actor hailing from Rotorua. Growing up immersed in Kapa Haka, he developed a deep passion for the performing arts, leading him to train at Yoobee South Seas Film and TV School. Tu has appeared in Shortland Street and the award-winning film The Great South, written and directed by Taniora Ormsby. With a strong foundation in Māori performing arts and screen acting, he brings authenticity and depth to his roles.
