Mark Snoad is an Auckland-based writer and actor.

His debut middle-grade fantasy novel, Maggie and the Mountain of Light, won the 2024 Sir Julius Vogel Award for Best Youth Novel.

As a performer, Mark has starred in professional children's theatre with the Stage Company, bringing iconic characters like Jafar, the Mad Hatter, Geppetto, and the King of Hearts to life.

In 2025, he will appear in a guest role on Shortland Street.
