Jayshri is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA) and recently completed a Master in Creative Practice, where she began developing a theatre work exploring the Fijian-Indian New Zealand experience and history. She is currently training in screen acting with Kacie Stetson and works across stage and screen. Her performance credits include Tiffin Box, Kannappa, Dark City: The Cleaner, Asian Kiwiana: The Replay with Asian Waves Productions, Merry and Bright: A Musical Spectacular (Blackboard Theatre Collective), The Emperor’s New Clothes with New Zealand Playhouse, Frankenstein at The Court Theatre, Tiffin Box with Sananda Chatterjee for Prayas Theatre Company, and Kannappa as a dancer. Jayshri is a company member of Asian Waves Productions and part of Glass Ceiling Arts Collective. A strong dancer, singer, and physical theatre performer, she is passionate about stories that centre identity, connection, and community.
